What do you think makes you a good coach?
I am a very good listener and love to interact with kids.  I strive to engage the kids to ignite their interest in chess.  I would like more kids to enjoy chess with the satisfaction of winning a  game, or even just a great move.

What are your key strengths as a coach?
I am always a good problem solver and a fast decision maker.  I am always polite and patient.  I am good at sharing knowledge with the student and guiding them to apply chess tactics with planning in a game.

Why do you love Chess?
I am a big fan of chess because it constantly improves my level of thinking to make good decisions very quickly.  It is a fun game of course, with millions of combinations and outcomes which is always challenging.  Also the good thing about chess is that it can be whatever you would like it to be.

When did you first learn to play?
When I was in Primary school, I joined the chess interest group and that was the first time I met Chess. I have been playing chess since then and have made a lot of friends because of chess.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?
I am a father of a young kid.  Interacting with kids and seeing them develop is very joyful and satisfactory.   Their big smile is always the sunshine of my life.

How do you think chess helps kids?
Playing chess helps kids to expand their logical thinking, improves their memory, and being disciplined.  It also develops patience and concentration, and attention to detail.  All these positive behaviours will benefit their studies and build impressive personal qualities.
