What do you think makes you a good coach?
I believe in the importance of quality education and the personal development benefits that chess provides. Chess is more than just a game—it helps build critical thinking, problem-solving, and patience.

I also have experience working around coaches in both UN Model Youth and Riding with the Disabled, which has given me valuable insight into different coaching approaches and how to support learners effectively.

What are your key strengths?
 Teamwork
I understand the importance of teamwork and how essential it is to work effectively with others.

 Discipline
Through my experiences in sports, jobs, and studies, I have learned the value of discipline and taking responsibility for my role.

 Communication
I am experienced in interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, including children, adults, individuals from different cultures, and even intoxicated individuals. This has strengthened my ability to adapt my communication style to different situations.

 Critical Thinking
My studies, particularly in philosophy, have taught me not what to think, but how to think critically. This skill allows me to remain impartial, respect different viewpoints, and approach problems with a logical and open-minded perspective.

Why do you love chess?
I love chess because it is both mentally challenging and highly rewarding. The game pushes you to develop important skills such as problem-solving, patience, and strategic thinking, but it does so in a way that is engaging and enjoyable.

When/how did you first learn to play?
I first learned to play chess when I was eight years old. My grandfather introduced me to the game, and over time, I became more interested. I started playing regularly online against other players and watching instructional videos to improve my skills.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?
I enjoy working with kids because they are naturally curious, enthusiastic, and full of potential. They have a unique way of looking at the world, and their creativity often inspires me to think differently.

Coaching kids gives me the opportunity to make a positive impact on their development, both in chess and in life. Watching them learn, grow, and gain confidence is incredibly rewarding.
