What do you think makes you a good coach?
I have always enjoyed teaching people new things because it helps reinforce information myself and I find achievement in helping others get good at something.

What are your key strengths?
I have lots of patience and am a very friendly person, I am really good at connecting with people on a personal level and will go out of my way to make sure someone is comfortable.

Why do you love chess?
Chess teaches me discipline and will always hold me accountable because it doesn't matter how well I think I played, there is always a better move that I missed.

When/how did you first learn to play?
I was taught by Paul Macdonald from Chess Power at my primary school when I was very young and have played competitively, in tournaments, casually, using chess.com, as well as socially with my friends on the weekends ever since.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?
Kids match my energy and there is never a dull moment when working alongside them. There are so many personalities and each one is not the same, so it never gets boring.

What are your main Chess achievements?
Merit achievement in a chess power tournament.

How do you think Chess helps kids?
It helps keep their young minds active and improves levels of focus. I have always believed that chess has so many benefits and will help develop the skills of problem solving, being held accountable, discipline, and much more.
