What makes you a good coach?

Patience is a virtue—both in life and in chess. This makes me a good coach. Teaching comes naturally to me, and I have a genuine desire to pass on my knowledge of this wonderful and intellectually rich game to others.

What are your key strengths?

One of my key strengths is the ability to anticipate my opponent’s next move. I also embrace the lessons that come with losing a game because that’s when you truly learn how to win.

Why do you love chess?

I love chess because it challenges the mind, requiring both tactical thinking and intellectual depth.

When and how did you first learn to play?

I was introduced to chess by my dad when I was five years old.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?

Children have an incredible ability to absorb and apply new information quickly. I love witnessing their growth as they learn new skills and strategies, especially in a game like chess.

What are your main chess achievements?

My greatest achievement is my ability to play the game while connecting with others through it. I don’t play professionally, but I deeply enjoy the experience of chess and the interactions it fosters.

How do you think chess helps kids?

Chess is a game of discipline, strategy, and resilience. It teaches children important life skills such as playing by the rules, thinking ahead, and never giving up—qualities that are essential both on and off the board.
