COVID-19 Information

• Regularly wash and thoroughly dry your hands or use hand sanitiser.

• If you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, stay home and get a test.

Format 

• 7 rounds 15 minutes per player
• Two divisions, Open and Rookies.
• The Open division is NZCF rated.
• The rookies division is reserved for players who are playing in their first chess tournament.

Schedule

All players must pre-register 

Players who attend the event and do not pre-register will not be able to participate.

Default Time: Players who fail to arrive longer than 10 minutes after a round has started will be defaulted and receive zero points for their game.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for the following:

• Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place   
• Top three girls                           
• Encouragement prizes

Eligibility

Open to all players aged between 5 and 18.

$20 per player if prepaid
