What do you think makes you a good coach?
I'd love to gain the best knowledge in chess as a foundation for confidence in classes. I'll keep learning as I coach, about chess, children, and problem solving.

What are your key strengths?
I've always embraced myself in the world of hospitality. Daily hospitality exposure has built strong human skills and problem solving in me. I strive to connect with every human soul I encounter and build rapport.

Why do you love Chess?
Chess is fun! It is also perfect for exercising the brain and connecting with others. It is a cure for stress and anxiety sometimes as well.

When/how did you first learn to play?
My father taught me chess when I was in primary school.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?
Young children's minds are full of potential and unspoiled inspiration that deserve nurturing. As adults, our minds are shaped by the world and the society we live in. Over time, we tend to be dragged away from our authentic self. Interacting with children every time, for me, feels like reconnecting with the inner child long lost. It is a precious feeling. Children deserve to be heard, understood, and nurtured.

What are your main Chess achievements?
I beat my father sometimes.

How do you think Chess helps kids?
Chess improves kids' planning and organizing skills, as they have to plan their moves and judge different situations. It improves their IQ as well. It is also a good way to keep them away from screens. Therefore, it is good for their ocular and mental health. Also importantly, they get connected with friends through Chess.
